Practical information

Useful things to know when planning a visit:

Handicap parking right outside the main entrance.

Large parking lot with space for bus and camper on the other side of the road Strandvegen.

Parking fee can be paid with cash on both parking meters or with card on the parking meter in the large parking lot.

Accessible toilet by the main entrance.

Restrooms for men and women separately by the main entrance, in the museum barn and on ground level in the entrance area for the auditorium.

The Glass Cathedral and the Herb Garden are partially facilitated for disabled persons. FOr the Herb Garden, please ask the guide for an alternative entrance.

The Herb Garden also has a section for visually impaired and blind people.

In the Storhamar Barn there are ramps that allow some visiting in wheelchair, with walker or stroller. The access into the building may be difficult for some devices, though.

There are refreshments for sale in the Museum Shop by the main entrance.

The restaurant just inside the main gate, Odden Spiseri, offers sandwiches, lunch, dinner, coffe and cakes.

You are allowed to bring your own food and drink for a piknik in the park or by the Herb Garden.

NB! Disposal grills are not allowed in any part of the museum!
