Folk Museum Tour

There are about 60 historical buildings in our museum, but the Folk Museum Tour focuses on a selection of farm houses situated close to the glass cathedral.

If you join our Folk Museum Tour, you get to learn the story of how everyday life was in Norway in the 18th and 19th century. During the tour you get inside different houses to see how social status made a difference in choice of furniture, way of cooking etc.

The Folk Museum Tour is usually part of the daily summer program, but due to Covid-19 this will only be available to groups on request in 2021.
